Excited!!!!

This weekend I get to go riding at a place I've wanted to go for a long time. I wanted Wes to go with me with his mare but he is going to help his son. So I'm going to take his mare. Lol. I'm actually tempted to take Rebel but will probably take Pera.
I'm so excited I can't wait. I hope we ride all day.

Evening Ride

Rode last night for a little while. I was watching tv and got up on a whim grabbed my saddle and stuff, got Pera and tacked up and just rode. I do my best thinking at those times. Had taken my meds so I'm not sure I should have been riding but........... I need to ride more.
Wes rode Pera after I did last night. She's really a good horse for him.
We got a 2 horse trailer, which will be so nice instead of hooking up the big trailer all the time. It's going to match my truck. Yay!!
Rebel is going for 30 day refresher, Pistol is going for training, actually trainer will be coming here. I'm going to work with Cat and in the fall I'll start riding Piper because she'll be old enough then. I'm loving cutting back. It's nice.

Little Annie

Wes named the tiny one. Little Annie. It's cute, seems to fit. We let them out of the barn today for some fun romping in the sun. It was Little Annie's first time out. She had a little ball. She had momma chasing her. It was rather funny. Wes carried her from the barn to the roundpen. I'm so loving having the mini and a mini foal. It's my horse fix. I'll never get rid of all the big horses but the majority of them will be sold.
The pigmy goats are so much fun. I love having them too. They have adapted to living with the dogs well. They live in the front yard.
The dogs have started passing over the Rainbow bridge from old age and as they pass they will not be replaced.
Anyway, Little Annie had sooo much fun today. It was a beautiful day for her to be out for the first time. Wes carried her from the barn to the roundpen but I let her follow mom back to their stall. The big horses were occupied with food. I don't let little Annie walk through them she's just to small. She is like a stuffed toy. I've never seen or had anything as adorable and as small as she is.
I'm just so burnt out on having so many horses.
My two precious baby girls are growing like weeds. Such sweet babies. They are getting more adventurous around the house. I love when they're purring. Such a sweet content sound. Love those girls. Since they were orphans they are super clingy to me. That's ok though.
My bay filly is such a beautiful color. It's a deep rich bay and she is so elegant.  She's stunning.
Life's good on the farm. I hope I have many more years on it with Wes. He is my perfect other half.
Sorry for the crap pics I need to get my phone camera fixed. It will be done soon.

Welcome Little One

Tootsie had her foal this afternoon.  Everyone is happy and healthy.  Momma is watch dog protective, my pyr guards the stall and doesn't let the other horses come near it. He protects all foals born here. It's his only redeeming quality. That's the last of our foals. No more. Someone said "till next year" my reply was nope. I want to go camping, go on vacations.  No more animals. Still have some horses for sale. Gonna have to take a pause though because surgery is coming up. Two glorious weeks off work. Greatly needed.
So now comes naming the little one.

Pondering

I was sitting here this evening pondering things, mostly about the horses I have left and something someone said. Well when I sold my stallion someone said to someone else well good he'll finally be used for something. We'll here is my question.  What the fuck is wrong with them just being pasture pets?? They are well cared for do wtf is the problem?
My horses are very spoiled.

Schedule

I truly love my job and being able to run my schedule for the most part. One od my clients moved today. I will miss her a lot but we will stay in touch online. I got to go tell her goodbye this morning because I finished up early with my clients. This mornings clients are being assigned to someone else per my request.  I won't miss her she was just mean. I already have replacement clients that I'll just be getting started with when I go into the hospital for surgery.
The time off (2weeks) will be good though. Give me a chance to recharge. Maybe get the right side of my face to act right. Not real sure what that's all about.
Miss Tootsie just refuses to give up that mini baby.  Wish she'd have it. Can't wait to see it.

Loving Less

I have to admit I'm loving being down in numbers. It's nice. No more stallions, no more breeding, no more babies, just riding and enjoying the ones I'm keeping. I'm really enjoying having a mini around again. I can't wait to get the damn beef off to the butcher. One less mouth and lord I'm sick of his nasty ass. But he'll taste good.
I've got a few more to sell. Time to do a little retiring. I'll never give up horses completely but it's time to sit back and relax. Trails, treats and grooming is about all we want to do.

Anytime Now

Well my mini can have that baby any time now. Good grief! . I love that little mare.
Rebel has hooked up with my big bay mare Willow. They are about the same size and since I sold Di I'm glad he found a replacement.
Layla and Lola are still Layla and Lola. I didn't change anything.  Lola was very displeased with Wes this evening. She is normally super sweet but she wanted her bottle I guess. I found something they like besides their bottle....cheerios!! I hate that the girls were orphaned but I'm glad I have adopted them. It's funny how much they have added to our lives. I love them both.
Told my clients about surgery. At least 1 of them will not remember. Lol.
Bed time.

Surgery Scheduled

Surgery is scheduled for mid July. Should be in the hospital a day or 2. Will be off work for 2 weeks so I'll have to break it to my clients and prepare them for a sub just till I come back. We shall see how well that goes. Lol. With most it should be fine, I know one that will deny services if it's not me. I've told one already to be nice while I'm gone.
I have a sitter for the girls. They will spend a night or 2 with a friend. Thankful for friends. Surgery is 3 hours long. It's pretty extensive so those who wish me dead here is your chance. Lol. I hate having to stay in the hospital but hell it will be a mini vacation.  Lol. I'll just miss my hubby, my bed, my dogs, my horses my pigmy goats and my 2 girls. At least I will get well.

Updates on babies

Ok so considering changing Laylas name. Just doesn't seem to fit. Lola doesn't really either but Wes named her and she is his.
Layla is very bonded to me. Considering Piper or something like that.
She is so dependent on me and oh Soooo sweet. I just adore these girls. I look so forward in spending the evening cuddling them. Wes usually has his. They use to go to work with me until they were just to rambunctious so now they stay home. I love having my own schedule where I can check on them if need be.

Still no mini foal but very very very close.
