Spartan aka Snotball &Newt

This is Spartan's full brother Newt. Newt is layed back, nothing bothers him. I csn give him wormer without haltering him, he catches me,  he will be the one I climb on when the time comes. Newt is my shadow buddy. Easiest colt I've ever had the pleasure of having.

This is Spartan aka baby snotball. Yes he is a Snotball. He is so much different than his brother. He does learn quick though. We worked on leading,  picking up feet, accepting being touched all over snd walking over a small wooden pole. Spartan and Newt are a year apart in age.

Warm November Day

Well it was in the 60's with sun shining today so we went for a short ride this afternoon.  Limited as to where we can go because it's deer season but it was fun getting out and riding for a little while. Pera got ridden for thr first time since last summer,  Trick was ridden for the 2nd time since last year.

Josie has put on weight with new feed that I totally love. Lets hope the Nutrena rep can get the feed store to keep it in stock!

Lil Rascal

My lil baby boy's appetite has picked up considerably. He is eating a lot more, drinking a lot more.   His sore under his chin about healed, she has perked up. Tomorrow we will have some outside time for some sun. Not to get a grip on the rain rot. He's such a good boy and soooo sweet. He is my tiny shadow. I love him so much.
Twister will be going to discover what mares are for lol. He is a full year older than Rascal.

Rascal

My baby has no clue he's a horse. He is liking the house horse thing.

Hay, feed, water, shavings and warmth.  He likes this arrangement.  He nickers to me, follows us and thinks he's a dog. I love him.

Rascal

Rascal is enjoying living in the house during this arctic blast that came through. He hasn't been feeling well so he is in the house till further notice. I got him on a feed he likes, safechoice senior. He was on proforce senior but didn't really like it. Tried the safechoice senior and he loved it. Treating for rain rot. He has a nice area in the laundry room with blankets and shavings down. Somehow he got an abcess on his chin. Doctoring that. He is such a sweetie. He will probably winter in the house. Not taking any chances. Sooo....yes I moved a mini horse into the house. Lol
