Last One

Ok peps, this is my last post for 2018. Those going out, be careful.
This year was.....interesting.  I'm planning big changes for 2019. Life was pretty good in 2018, got over some bumps in the road, cut back on some horses, will cut down a bit more. Lost a couple fur babies this year to old age, gave a home to a couple new fur babies, one of which was out of the dog pound that was found running down a road that no one claimed.
Its rainy and cold this new years eve, horses have been fed extra tonight and everyone is doing good. Its super muddy.
I hope 2019 goes a bit smoother.
Prayers to our friend that is bringing in the new year in the hospital, hurry home, you're missed.
Prayers to the families of those who didn't make it to 2019.
Prayers for our military that has to bring in the new year away from their families, lets bring them home in 2019.
Prayers for our president who is making America Great Again. Your selflessness and hard work are greatly appreciated.
I just know this will piss off a few people but who cares.
To the people who don't enter 2019 in my life, well, your loss not mine. Sorry that was a bit negative.  To those of you in my life that enter 2019 with me, I love you all.
Again be safe, I can't take losing more than have been lost. One that wasn't a friend really was lost a couple days ago suddenly and its still sad.
Happy New Year to everyone!
May you be blessed and may the new year bring you everything positive.
Much love........
From our home to yours.

Such changes

Dakota today

Outside pics of Dakota with the chi's doing his duties. He's so smart and I love this dog. Can't wait to see how he matures. He has grown a lot in 5 days.
He's eating dry pupply chow now and drinking from his water bowl.
So proud of him.
My fav pic
And now he sleeps behind my chair.

Sunset tonight

Seriously beautiful sky painted by God this evening.

Ridiculous Reading

I just read a list of the 10 most dangerous dogs. Lol. It is laughable.
First of all I will say that dogs are a product of their environment.  They are only as bad as their owners.
The list contained dogs such as Great Danes, ( I was raised with danes). I can tell you they are protective of their family as most dogs are.
Siberian husky was another, again, protective of family but are high energy and good dogs. Alaskan Malamute was another as well as wolf hybrids, dobermans, pitbulls, mastiffs, rottweilers and others named as well. I know people who have or have had pretty much all the dogs on the list and raised kids around these dogs and can safely say that they are all amazing dogs and never posed a danger or threat!
I wish people's minds were a bit more open. Living in Arizona I had the pleasure of having dogs such as German shepherds, as well as other breeds that were considered "dangerous". I've even had a Rottweiler and she was the sweetest dog ever. I use to have a friend that raised wolf hybrids in Arizona as well. I was around her dogs and never felt threatened at all. It's called understanding the dogs. They never perceived me as a threat nor I them. A lot of dogs get a bad wrap for whatever reason. Start holding the owners responsible for bad behavior,  not the breed.
Ok so I've said my peace regarding the ridiculous articles I've read. They are written by the ignorant and closed minded who refuse to look further into why some behave the way they do.

Goodbye 2018

Its almost the new year. There will be a lot of changes in 2019. I'm downsizing the herd of horses as much as it pains me to do so. Its getting to be to much now. I just want to enjoy riding occasionally and not have to spend almost every dime on feed and hay. I do have 2 foals I intend to keep and have trained when the time comes. I'm just ready to slow down.
I want to find a less stressful and physically demanding job and get back into office work.
I'm done buying or taking in horses, I'm done with having so many dogs too. My puppy for Christmas is the last one I'll have. Most of the dogs are getting old now and will be moving on to greener pastures. As they pass they will not be replaced. Couldn't replace them anyway. Each one is special in their own way.
I can't say 2018 was bad, but it wasn't great either. I hope 2019 proves to be better.

Dakota

Dakota has been here 5 days and I swear he has grown.
He has come out of his shell, he plays with Ezra our full size Aussie. She's very tolerant of him.
We found him some stuffed toys.
He's eating like a champ too. He is doing great with kennel training and going outside to potty. He's very smart.
I misplace him in the house occasionally because he loves to hide in the house to nap.
He's getting comfy enough to pass out in the middle of the floor this evening. I've never had a Malamute but so far I love the breed.
Here are some pics from today and 1 from last night.

My Christmas Present

Love my Christmas present from a dear friend today. His name is Dakota. He is a Tamaskan. a recognized breed of dog that was especially bred to look like a wolfdog but is actually not a wolf at all. Pictures of them growing up are amazing.

Pasha

Pasha is a Christmas present for a very good friend of mine. She picks her up tomorrow.
She'll have a great stall, turn out time, indoor riding arena, warm dry stable.

So Thrilled

I am so thrilled about how wonderfully my 2 weanlings are developing.  They are big and built so nice and probably the best weanlings I've ever had the pleasure of having. They respond to what I tell them without halter or lead. I'll have to get more recent pictures of them tomorrow.  They are dirty but still gorgeous.

Some winter pics

I love my fuzzy mini's especially my little baby.
They are a cute bunch of fat balls
They are so much fun
Faith, she can be such a bitch but I love her and she is a great riding horse. I actually have a mare that acts marish but thats ok.
Pera sporting her blanket
My Willow enjoying her dinner and alfalfa, loving her new mix of food . She looks really good and we will start riding in the spring again.
Ice who is Willow's foal is going through another growth spirt. She's doing really well and going to outgrow her mom who is in the background. She's still bay.
Another pic of my Faith girl. I do love this horse.
Bella, she is doing better with her blanket on. She wasn't tolerating the cold real well so what blankets I had left I have put them to good use.
My love, my boy and I swear he is my heart horse. Never to be shuffled around again. No matter what I have to downsize to he is one on my list to never ever leave. He has really grown emotionally and with trust in the last year.
Pistol whom I raised from a 3 month old foal is coming 5 yrs old, headed to the best trainer in the spring, probably out of state, but he will be great. He is my zips chocolate chip boy.
Another of Pera, she's my husbands horse and one of the best mares. Definitely a huge part of the family but then everyone is.
My boy River again. Boy is he fat.
My rotund mare Peaches, don't know if I'll ever get her finished but she's my girl. She went back to her original owner and was a mess, they couldn't do anything with her including catch her but she came back here and was back to perfect. She's for sure my mare. Another of my mares who stayed off to herself went back to her original owner and same people as Peaches came from and is boss mare there so everything is as it should be, Peaches here and Affair there.
Kai is a big beautiful boy but I  am looking for a home thst will devote time and send him to training to get him finished as a great trail horse. He is an exceptional boy.
Rebel, whom I've had for years, just hasn't been ridden in a few years. Needs a refresher, might sell him but will be extraordinary picky on where he goes.
Our other old lady Belle. She's retired from breeding now and will live the rest of her life here where she's happy. She gave us beautiful foals and is the quietest most loving mare around. She is my special girl like Josie. I've had her for almost 10 years if not longer and she will cross the rainbow bridge here where she's happy.
My other heart horse Trixk. He is , always was and always will be my most loved horse. He and River are my 2 pieces of me that I can't imagine my life without.
Cat, my very special thoroughbred mare, descended from the great Secretariat.  She was an emotional wreck when I got her but she is a lot better now. I'd trust her with only one other person because she understands her like I do.
Pasha who is my other thoroughbred mare, former successful race horse, retired sound and is broke to ride but I just do not ride her and she needs a home that understands thoroughbreds and knows how to work with them to get their full potential without stressing them out. She's loving, sweet and a good horse. She will go to a special home that I'll have to approve or she won't go at all.
Another of my boy Trick, my ever faithful mount that tskes such good care of me. He was the first horse I rode after my bad accident and is my trust.
Another od Pasha. Such a tall big girl. So smart too.
Ok, so there is a specisl bond with my Peaches and I that I don't fully understand but she loves me and its very obvious. She'd never thrive anywhere else.
Peaches and Lacie. Ive had Lacie for many many years and I have her daughter and granddaughter as well. Bella who is wearking a purple blanket in an above picture is her daughter.
I didnt get pucs of Josie , Newt or Whisper this afternoon because they sre in the b as rn eating dinner but I will soon.
Newt and Whisper are my up my ass babies. I literally have to push them out of my way when I'm in with them. They sre the 2 best foals I've ever had the good fortune to have in our family group. I really wish I could keep everyone because it took me years upon years to get this herd and I  even had Belle's last foal, a blue roan that I sold to a very good friend, more like family because I didn't want to lose track of her and I knew she would be taken well care of. She is thriving over there.
Its becoming so much work and so much expense, especially since a certain person saw fit to steal most of my horse blankets and sell them to profit herself. Bitch is to nice a word for the criminal who has a criminal record like you wouldn't  believe.
Now I'm struggling to get everyone's blankets replaced.
Josie, not pictured in todays blog is doing great at 35 yrs young. She wears a blanket all winter because of her age, but her heavy one she needed was one stolen. Takes a special kind of scum to steal from an elderly horse whose life depends on that particular blanket. Taylor U. You are a special kind of disease spreading rat scum. No actually rats are better than the likes of you. You literally stole from the very person who let you into our family. You have mental issues and you need help but then there is no help for sociopaths whish is exactly what you are. You're a user, liar and thief and the sad part is you know you are. I gave you a gift  of a foal that you did not deserve or even bother to keep.
Scum!!!!!!
