Better topic

Pistol is improving.....I think.
Pasha is doing much better and will recover. Still has one knot on her side but her neck is healing and her abrasions are about healed. The offending horse has left the ranch. It's been peaceful ever since Sav left. No issues. Momma and baby are even out with the herd and loving it. It's much calmer.
Peaches is doing good with Josie. Josie let's her know when she does wrong but generally doesn't have to do more than give a look.
Mia and Maggie have become friends. They actually play and Mouse plays with Mia to. Yesterday Maggie tried to eat Mia.
Mia has the jack russell personality.
Everyone is doing good.
Wes is redoing the floor in the upstairs. He has had the linoleum since winter so now we are doing it. Can't wait till its done.
Next is painting the downstairs concrete floor like a shop floor. No more carpet because of flooding.

Rant time

I rarely get up in arms about things unless I am passionate about them. So here I go.

First of all I am from the south and very proud of it. I do support the Confederate flag. It's heritage, not racist. It represents the southern states and the colonies. In my humble (yah me humble lol) opinion it is censorship to take the flag away. If you do not like this fact then kindly remove yourself from my life if you are going to be butt hurt and disrespectful.  I've have one person take me up on this.
There are a few other issues I have my own beliefs on as well that would probably clear out the remaining people I have on fb. Lol.
People don't have to support everything.  It's ok to have different beliefs.  It would be boring if we were all the same and frankly there are a few people that if I were like them I'd just end it all now.
I do not support everything.  It doesn't mean that I dislike the person that does support something that I dont. As long as there is mutual respect both ways. I will respect those with different beliefs as long as I'm shown respect. Disrespect me and the gloves come off.
To each their own but I don't have to believe in it.
Thank you that is all.
For those that get butt hurt.......fuck u.

Busy busy busy

First today was errands, then cleaned barn some, then Wes decided today was the day to do the upstairs floor so with that came moving everything out of the room. The house is in complete disarray.  I turned Peaches out with Josie. Turned Belle and the filly out in the big pasture with the herd.  They had been standing by the gate just begging to go out so I let them go.

Last night Tessa had a very swollen face.  Went and got children's benedryl,  liquid form, and today she is MUCH BETTER.

Now for the pics below. That is Mia. I got her from a woman that was going to take her to the pound. She is for sure doxie but we think the other part I'd Jack Russell terrier. She is very smart and very funny and very lovable.  She is currently sound asleep on the bed while I type this out. The other dogs have finally gotten over the fact that she has joined the family. Yes another one saved and loved. Mia is not use to being able to run around and go in and out as she pleases. She has been going 90 miles an hour. No wonder she has passed out. She was primarily kept in a chain link kennel/run. She was well taken care of physically, is spayed, on heartworm prevention and I believe they really loved her. They just didn't have the time for her. She is a really cool dog. Already protective.  Welcome Mia.

Great Job

I started my new job today. It's fantastic.  I work for social services and have been trying to get in there for some time now. Finally did it. I have my own desk, my own computer, my own scanner and I love it. Yay!!

Pistol and Bo

The two peas in a pod......it's funny.....when we got Bo and Pistol, Bo was out brat and Pistol was our lover. Bo was difficult to catch and Pistol was in your hip pocket.

Flash forward......

Bo is now in our back pocket, will stick his head in the halter which is great except when you are trying to get Pistol.
Pistol has decided being haltered is not for him......enter the run around exercise for me. So got him haltered finally. He basically cornered himself and I had him. He is still very lovable but just not if you have the halter. Lol.

Gotta love them boys.

Peaches is home and the stink eye

Peaches aka Romans Royal Magnolia is home. I love this mare. She is Soooo sweet and laid back. I'm so happy with her.
Savannah is on her way to Illinois. She knew who Jenn was.
My filly got her new halter on and as you can see I got the stink eye given to me. Lol. She is so funny. Full of personality, mostly the kind that says I'm the boss of you and get that Effing halter away from my face. She is a trip.
Had to wrap Pistols foot tonight. He wouldn't stand still until Wes went and picked a bunch of green grass and fed it to him while I did it. Heck he didn't care what I did then. Brat.

Savannah and Peaches

Peaches is 4 years old and APHA, has a huge belly spot. She will be coming here tomorrow and Savannah will be going to Illinois with Jenn.

Her registered name is Romans Royal Magnolia.  She is very sweet, very laid back and very easy to work with. Unlike Savannah.  I honestly think Sav bonded wit Jenn. She always greeted Jenn but doesn't greet me. She always protected Jenn from the other horses, me not so much. She is sweet to me but in all honesty we tolerate one another. There is someone interested in Sav but they live in New Hampshire and they are trying to get a stud sold to purchase Sav and pay for transport.  Sav is going to have 30 days of riding put on her which is a very good thing. If she does not go to New Hampshire then she will get ready for a prestigious catalog sale. This is NOT a sale kill buyers go to. Thus is a working ranch horse sale and one of the biggest in the country. (That is if Jenn doesn't keep her lol).

Sav needs someone to help her be all she can be and then some.

Anyway I'm happy to welcome Peaches. She is splash and Sabino so she will fit in well with the program. She will also be broke to ride.

Rebel will be getting a tune up/ refresher in about a month when Jamie and Jenn come back. Jamie is a trainer and Jen is training right along with him. I think they will work wonders with Savannah.

Amusement park day

Well Wes and I took Anje to Worlds and Oceans of fun yesterday. We discovered, after having ridden the Mamba, that our amusement park days are over. We got off the Mamba and Wes said " that's enough to cause a heart attack" my reply was "no shit?" After the 2nd drop during a hairpin turn everything started to go black for me. Guess I held my breath to long or something.  Shortly after leaving that ride Wes said we have become Branson people. Hey I'm all for that. I did enjoy the water slides, the boat rides, the wave pool where I had to swim race this man for inner tubes. I did win. So I've still got it in the swimming department.  We rode a lot and we walked even more. We did have fun but we were hot and tired. We went to Pizza Ranch afterwards since it was to late and to hot to cook at home. Anje did have a good time. It is now 11:21 Sunday morning and the child is still asleep. Oh well. I tried to wake her for breakfast but that was not in the plan apparently.
It's raining again, surprise.........not.

Friday night we went and saw Jurassic World in 3D. Anje enjoyed it as we did. It was a good movie. I love going to the Farris. Not a ton of people and it's not a huge place.

Today is a washout I suppose with the rain. We just filled the pool to.

Off to more picking up the house. Tata for now.

Took some pics of baby girl late this morning when I turned them out. She is growing like crazy. Feeling her oats. She is actually sharing food with Belle already.

She is pretty cute. Loving her.

She is Soooo roaned. I love it.

Evening pics

Here are some pictures I took this evening. It's only 8 out of the 16 horses that we have.
Brother and sister
Trick and Sav
Lacy
Rebel
Bella and momma Lacy
Kai
Sav
Affair
Diamond...otherwise known as the $25 foal by the breeder. So not true.

Hot and Muggy

Well we have decided to do the basement floor like a garage floor and epoxy it. It's either going to be light gray with flecks in it or beige with the flecks in it. We are doing the entire downstairs.  Easy maintenance and no more carpet getting wet if we flood again.

It's to hot to do much of anything today. I'm catching up on laundry and I've rearranged a few things, cleared what I had stored in the guest room because Anje will be here friday.

She is staying for 6 weeks so she says. I'm guessing in a week she will want to go home.

This heat is jacking with my stomach. I think it's time to go get in some air conditioning.  Won't do chores till a bit later since it's so hot.

Belle and the baby are out and about.

I am finishing up some rythmn beads for some people.

Tonight will be a cool dinner.

Silver Blue Belle

After their breakfast I let Belle and the baby out for the day. I usually let them out for daytime and the go up in the foaling stall at night. The filly is a week old today.

She loves to run.

Loves turnout time
