Ok it's time for this white shit to stop and Spring to arrive. Need some horse time that requires more than just feeding and keeping hay out. I can't wait for Phoenix and Diva to come home.
Geld Phoenix and Spartan and pray that it calms Spartans ass down. He was being sweet tonight though. He's just so high strung but we shall work on that this spring. This constant snow is depressing not to mention a lot more work.
I use to have a dog named Max. He was my best dog ever. Always wanted another one that I loved as much if not more. After many years I have that. My Dakota is my all time favorite dog. He is so sweet and devoted. He's becoming so protective. He takes to some people but not all.
Well all the horses are blanketed, tucked away and ready for the impending winter weather coming in. Mini's are tucked away in the barn except Rascal who is in the house.
Yes he is in the house and runs and plays with me, like a dog. He thinks he's a dog, gets into stuff downstairs. Can't get made at him though. He is just to cute. I love that little guy so much. He is an amazing little colt. I'd bring a friend of his in with him but oh lord I can't imagine the stuff the 2 of them woud get into. Love that I traded Twister for Rascal. I just got attached really bad to Rascal. Maybe because he got sick and really needed to be babied. He is one mini that will never go anywhere. He whinnies to me daily. I go give him scratches which he loves. I'm so tempted to bring him upstairs.
The big horses are all situated and this time BEFORE the storm hits. Plenty of shelter and hay. I can rest easy tonight instead of getting soaked to the skin in freezing cold wind rain and mud getting blankets on. It takes 2 to 3 hours to get everyone done. A few don't need it and one flat refuses to wear one. But they have shelter. Dogs are in the house warm and toasty and sleeping. I know I'm safe with 4 big ones downstairs and 3 giant ones upstairs, anyone would be a complete moron to try to come in my house unannounced. A dane, a giant Malamute mix, known as a Tamaskan, an Australian shepherd and they are very protective.
The dogs downstairs love to hang out with the mini. It's rather cute.
I doubt I'll even be able to get out tomorrow, so I'll work on clearing the kitchen drains for the however many days I've been trying to get it working again. Giant pain in the ass.
For now we all snuggle down and wait for the ugly freeze out and snow and ice. Need to get the shepherd mix in and the pyrenees in.
