Rain glorious rain is what we have today! I hope it rains every day this week. We sure could use it.

Sunday Rest

Well Pistol got the day off today. It was hot, he has been worked every day and this morning at work was a complete shit show. So I got some laundry done and did not a lot of anything. 
I'm not ready to go to work tomorrow.  I am not ready to deal with the......well others. I just have a hard time with the crawling up my business and the attitude. I really love working for the city but I really need to work for the city in a different capacity, as in somewhere else. I do like working for my boss and I like the people at city hall.
Well I guess time will tell.

Pistol 3rd training

Today I started Pistol out and when Jennifer and Jamie got here I'd done a fair amount since Pistol decided to kick at me. So he was rather sweaty when they got here. Pistol saw Jamie and you could see the gears grind as he was trying to figure out who to watch and pay attention to me or Jamie. He did respond to Jamie a lot better today and the difference is I work him on the days that he doesn't have training with Jamie. It's done a lot of good. I will continue that. Jamie played across him and so did I. I was going to ease my leg over but Pistol was gonna freak a little so I slid off. We will come back to that later.

Pistol night after

Tonight I got home and got a handful of treats to reinforce my relationship with him because he is a bit shell shocked about the whole training thing. He acted a bit afraid of me or confused so we did our normal thing with the treats of working at liberty. He is my sweet boy. I don't want our relationship we've built in 4 years to go out the window. So i think i am going to see about incorporating our thing in with his training.  I do love that horse. Raised him from 3 months old. He is 4 years old now. I hope to ride him for many years. As special as Trick is to me i raised Pistol and that means a lot. I appreciate jamie and Jennifer for the training they are putting on him for me.

Pistol 2nd training session

Well started out still thinking he could do as he pleased. NOPE!! Didn't take long to figure out he had to work harder.
He finally got it and he is going to be a hell of a horse. Can't wait to actually be able to ride him. He gives me stink eye as he goes by in the roundpen with his trainer. Fine tuning his groundwork.

Buttons

Our sweet baby girl Buttons. She is a doll. She has settled in very nicely and is a huge part of out family now. I've discovered she is terrified of storms, and is hyper sensitive to sound. Sweeping scares her. She will get over some of these issues. I removed her stitches last night and she was perfect. She is such a doll. She is a little jealous of Mia. Lol. They do play though.
I'm glad I brought her home.

Rain Finally

We finally got some rain last night and this morning.  Praying for more. Please!!
I'm sure all the animals are grateful.

I'm still sick. Wish I was home curled up in bed with my buttons.
