Willows story

I discovered Willow several months ago. She just had a look about her. I enquired about her and was told by a friend and board member of the rescue that she had been there about a year and a half actually almost 2 years. She had been abandoned during the winter and she didn't look very good. She had been secretly in someone else's pasture under darkness of night. The woman that found her had 2 horses and in the morning she had 3.
Willow has been well trained but she does have trust issues which points to some harsh handling.
She is broke to ride and is 14.3 hands. They think she is morgan. She is built well and very stocky. They have another horse I'd like to have as well. Heck may just adopt her too. We will see.
The rescue is the best I've ever seen. Very clean and I've never seen so many people caring the way they do and go to the extra lengths. They put training time into the horses and develop an actual plan. The application process isn't bad and they love to work with people to adopt. I got my approval 2 weeks as go. It took 2 to 3 weeks to get through the process.  The board members vote. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner of the place as well as many of the board members.
Can't wait for her to get home. She will have a job as one of our trail horses.
