Gizmo and Gulliver

Gizmo and Gulliver got neutered Thursday May 26, 2022. By evening time Gizmo was just like he was before surgery. Gulliver isn't recovering as quickly. Gulliver has a hematoma in his scrotum but starting to go down. They are the size of tennis balls. He's bruised but he feels ok. I have him on antibiotics and pain meds. He's stopped seeping blood. It's because he is older and a much bigger dog. I was in on his surgery and it was text book neutering.  Gulliver is 121 lbs compared to Gizmo's 3 pounds. There were several reasons I got them neutered. Gulliver was to reduce his attitude and to keep from getting prostate problems. That's a huge problem in these dogs that aren't neutered. I got Gizmo neutered to keep his good attitude especially with other male dogs around here. I have no intention of having puppies anyway. Neutered dogs make much better dogs anyway. Gizmo's testicles were the size of bb's. Lol. His incision is already healed and is so tiny you can't hardly see it. I will be getting Tessa spayed as well because I don't want her to develop a problem. That would be a death sentence.  Besides I'm sick of the boys acting like idiots when she's in season.
Gizmo is still so small and Doc said he won't get any bigger. I love him so much. He goes everywhere with us. We went to walmart today and I can tell he is starting to get tired of people fussing over how cute he is and really doesn't like strangers touching him. Some people he loves, others, not so much. He knows everyone at work and loves everyone there, especially Dr Watkins.  I'm fortunate I get to take my dogs to work. After Gullivers surgery he hung out in the playroom at work. A client looked in there and said he was met eye to eye by a horse. Lol. It was Gulliver.  I laughed and said yes, that's my dog. It was funny.
Tonight is dinner and a movie out on the patio. Yay!
