Based on the picture from today I'd say he's pretty happy with his new life. I went out to feed horses this evening and he always waits at the door for me to come back. I walked in and he jumped up and I finally got kisses. He did it like 4 times! This makes me extremely happy. He always lays at my feet and sleeps on his bed next to my side of the bed. He starts out in the bed but it's to crowded with the other dogs.
Before and after getting brushed yesterday May 7. These pics aren't in order.
I adopted Ruko May 6, 2026. He is 2 years old. His bday is August 11, 2023.
Here is some pics from May 6th and 7th. We didn't get home until 6 p.m. on the 6th

May 6 the day his life would change forever.
After being so upset the first dog i told them I wanted had been adopted while I was enroute to get him. I called them on the way and no one bothered to tell me I couldn't put him on hold. I figure it was Devine intervention so I'd meet Ruko. He was meant to be mine. They brought him out, he laid right up against me, he picked me.
This is out first meeting
He's a beautiful boy, pictures don't do him any justice at all. He has piercing blue eyes.
When they showed me his picture my first comment was he isn't a husky. Turns out he really is.
I fell in love, he was going home with me.
He's watching TV the very evening he got home.
The next day I had to go to work so he got his harness on and WE went to work. He is crashed out on the floor of my clients house. She fell in love with him, she said she'd just take him and I said oh no you won't. Lol.
Below is not in order but this is the same afternoon he came home with me.
Below are from May 7th. He has been perfect.
Couldn't ask for a better husky. Today he started gathering the dog toys. His original name when his owners turned him in was Ruko and that's why he's named that. The shelter changed his name to Wall-E. Just no so I told them to please call him by his real name. Didn't want to confuse him. He had only been here 2 days so he didn't even know his new name they gave him. I called out his real name and he responded immediately.
When we left the shelter he pulled me out the doors. He walks very nicely on a leash so that should tell you how he felt about the place. They are not housed in runs, they are in cages.
