Worms, worms and more worms

With the recent rain we have night crawlers everywhere and we went out and caught a bunch of them.
I see fishing in the very near future.

Today's Ride

Today was a wonderful day to ride the trails at Smithville.

This is the owl that was right outside my bedroom window last night. It's blurry because the screen was on the window.

Some updates

Lightning is in the maternity turnout now. Her bag is the same as yesterday.  I check daily now. She is a really good girl and I love grooming her and she seems to enjoy it.

Abby is improving big time. She got sick, was on antibiotics and we have fought this for a month and now we are on the good side of things. She got to go out to pasture and the green grass I'd helping her greatly.  It wasn't her tummy so we are a bit puzzled as to what exactly it was.
But she is doing great now.

Royal is turning out so nice. She is an in your pocket sweetie. Just love her. She is going to be so big. :)

Lightning

I have put Lightning in the birthing area now. Her bag is growing rapidly. I went out and groomed her today and she enjoyed that. I think the foal is in position now and I'm not seeing as much movement now as I was before. 

She is 4 years old and she is a very tall very hunky mare. Lots of muscle. She is very sweet and is a very good girl. 

We are hoping for a loud buckskin overo filly but will be happy with whatever we get.
