Bo and Rocky

I said I wasn't going to take in anymore horses but a friend of mine that I use to work with is moving back to Minnesota next year by April and she wanted them to be with someone that they would be safe with. I went to see them and they were gorgeous.  Rocky is a purebred Arabian, which anyone that knows me knows that I love Arabians and I didn't have one anymore. Rocky is 15 years old and been there done that kind of horse. I rode him home yesterday. It was a 5 mile ride, we did it in about 2 hours. My other friend and former supervisor came over and she rode Bo. The boys have been ridden from Rayville to Excelsior Springs before. Like I said been there done that kind of horses. I enjoyed it soooo much and me and the 2 horses will get along great. I think Rocky and I will become a great team. He use to be owned by a sheik which I think is very cool.

Bo and Rocky

Bo is a purebred American Paint Horse. Both these horses are papered.  Bo did great for Missy yesterday on the ride home. I so appreciate her for coming and riding him home but like I said we had a great time. It's been years since we went riding together.  We rode here on the place last weekend in the roundpen.  Wes finished fencing yesterday and put my arena back up for me. It's all beautiful.  

Back to Bo., he is 20 years old and a perfect gentleman. He is very laid back. Nothing much bothers him. I really do love these 2 and I am so glad I took the chance and took them. They will be very well loved here. 

Wes and I were going to go for a little ride today but it's been raining/storming on and off all day. 

I hope you'll keep up with our adventures on Rocky and Bo. Wes will be riding Bo. He is a bigger horse.

Bo

Floors Me

It absolutely floors me how people can be such users. No matter what is done they end up being fake family. The constant lies you're told, the back stabbing but most of all its the lies that are ushered out of their mouths and you know they're lies. But still they do it. I am done with all of it. Oh and promises that aren't kept. You're and evil person who has no values at all and you don't even care. The only time you care is if it benefits you in some way. The boat has sailed and sunk into the abyss not to be recovered.

You're gonna fall on your face and I wish I was going to be able to see it. 

All Ours Again

The farm is our own again. For a year and 9 months Jennifer and Jamie have been living here rent free so they could pay off debt and save to buy a place of their own. Only one problem, they didn't save anything in that amount of time so they are renting Diane's place on "O" hwy. For a shitload of money. Oh well. I did inform them they couldn't come back here to live. It was a long year and 9 months. Some things happened that didn't bring us closer together. 

The grulla 3 year old left today. I insisted. I was only suppose to have her for the winter. I was tired of her living here for free and me feeding her very expensive feed and tired of her kicking and biting and mean to the other mares. She always tried to run the boys off their feed. So we have no other animals or people living here, just us. It's nice to be alone again. 

Dr. Visit

I finally went to the dr about my legs being weak after getting spinal injections. Apparently if I work at it I can regain my strength.  I still have to be careful with my back. Not lift as much as I use to, blah blah blah. I can't get anymore shots for 6 months because you can only have so much a year put in your body. It's risky but the lack of excruciating pain is a blessing.  

Losing Ability

Well it appears that I'm losing my ability to use my right leg. I've noticed my shaking I'd worse and even typing is hard. I can't lead off with my right leg going upstairs and going down it wants to collapse. If I go down on my knees I can't get up without using something to stand. I'm a little scared. 

Winter

Well I guess winter finally arrived.  It was cold, dreary and windy today and more standing water and mud that's like soup. It's horrible. All the colts and younger ones need to stay under the shelter. 

Pretty sure Sadie has Lymphoma. I'm keeping her comfortable.  She is the walker coon hound that came with the house when we bout it 10 years ago and she was 2 or 3 years old then. She's living in the house now and staying warm, dry and on meds. Her color is pale. She isn't in pain though. She does sleep a lot.

Sleeping all day tomorrow sounds like a plan for me.

Rescues

I just discovered that the equine rescue I adopted one of my mares from is no longer in business, no longer exists! YAY!!! Apparently people became wise to their real deal like I did. I was threatened by that organization and had to hire an attorney.  After a year of fighting with them, they finally came to the realization that they had no case. They tried two different complaints and neither one held water. I still have my beautiful mare and now there is no way they could ever take her. 

They use to adopt out horses, then find a loophole and take them away from adopting family and then adopt them out again , over and over and over again.

Now they are DONE!!!! Hallelujah!! I just wonder how they went down. 🤔
