The Ray County Triangle

It appears the ocean has the Bermuda Triangle and Ray County now has its Triangle. Since last Friday into Saturday we had the high speed chase and capture of a very bad man and last night less than 10 miles from our house a private plane crashed. I'm sad to report that the pilot a 57 year old woman from Michigan flying to downtown airport did not survive. She was alone and her birthday was tomorrow.  Heart felt thoughts go out to her family and the people who have to deal with the crash site. We had to go to town today and we saw the plane. So sad.
Not exactly the way to get our area put on the map.
Today the wind is so bad that it ripped a piece of roofing off the barn so now we have a nice big hole where the skylight was. It will be interesting to try and get that fixed.
Branches are breaking off the trees so we parked the pickups under the carport below our bedroom window. Huge trees by the driveway so taking no chances.
The horses don't seen to bothered by the wind, they have been playful and out grazing most of the day. Very little rain came through.
Seriously I'm not liking the damn wind though. I am glad we had the day off work with such high winds.
Am 18 wheeler overturned in 13 hwy between Richmond and Lexington today because of the wind. It was an empty trailer. Driver was ok.

Jeesh what a day and what a week.

Happy Veterans Day! !
