Life is great on the farm. It is a busy life that's for sure. I've gotten sort of a petting zoo started for the grandkids. It's fun. The tiny goats are a blast.
I've got a beautiful Gypsy Vanner/Fresian gelding. He is something else. I really like him and he is different. I can not wait till I get to ride him. He is so sweet. He will have special colors and will be very handsome under saddle.
My mini Tootsie is due anytime now. I sure love that little mare. My friend Amber is going to let me breed her back to her mini stud if I choose to do so.
I'm down to riders pretty much now and of course my retired Josie.
We trail ride our horses and just generally enjoy them. I don't get to ride as much as I want but that's because I do work full time and I've also been ill with Graves Disease.
My illness is the reason for the downsizing. I will start radiation treatment in the next week or 2. Blood work has to be done, then a nuclear test about iodine uptake, then radiation. Ok back to life on the farm......
We've picked 2 huge mixing bowls full of fresh strawberries from our strawberry patch. Garden is well on its way too.
The fated calf is about ready to go be butchered. I'll not raise another. I hate cattle unless they are on my plate.
Life is good and we are happy and that's all that matters. No one outside of this farm matters.
Time for some summer fun!!!!!
