Flooding and 3 days stuck

Again with the flooding, last Wednesday,  Thursday and Friday and then Saturday it finally receded.  It was waste deep in our pasture AGAIN. The horses didn't play in it this time. I guess a couple weeks was enough of a thrill.
Horse flies are horrible. Gotta get some wipe and put it in everyone.  Like it or not.
We,are finally seeing some sort of dry spots. Of course it will dry just in time to rain again.
Belle and the filly are in the barn. Still to much mud for my liking to let them out. They have the whole barn. Belle is milking really well now. Thank goodness for expensive damn gel from the vet. But hey its cheap if you don't lose a foal. The vet said as wet as its been there is a fungus type thing that I'd in all grasses that will present like fescue poisoning.  So we treated her for that.
Have I mentioned it HOT!! It is. Dogs go swimming daily.
In 2 days we have found 2 slider turtles. They are happily living in the lagoon.
Back to the flooding.......
3 days unable to get out in any direction.  The basement flooded. Ugh. So much for that carpet. On to plan 2 for down in the family room. Still love it here though.
