Woohoo Excited

I just spoke to the owner of Zips Chocolate Chip. We will be continuing our conversation this evening. I have high hopes for Remembering Tradition aka Pistol whose grand sire is Chip. Everything she said just made me love Chip and Pistol even more. Ann is a total sweetheart as well and I look forward to our next conversation. I want to know all about Chip and hoping to find out about frozen semen. I am sure its out of the question but hey never hurts to ask right?

Last night we were sitting out on the patio enjoying the sunset and watching the horses in the pasture. So many people don't stop and take the time to really watch what is going on with their horses. Josey, Cumos and Cinder stay together and have their own little group. Trick had his herd not far off but still separate from the 3 girls.
The 3 girls wandered over towards Tricks herd, just grazing. Trick didn't chase them off but instead he started herding his group to the barn. Somehow in the mix Cumos got in with Tricks herd. Trick stopped, looked at Josey and Cinder who were standing in the pasture, looked back at his herd then again at Josey and Cinder. He knew something was not right. Never say horses can't count because I am here to tell you that they can . He suddenly ran up to the barn where his herd was and I watch him cut Cumos from the herd and guide her around the lagoon where she would go back out to pasture. Now he didn't chase her out he just cut her out of his herd. She did return back to Cinder and Josey and was telling a tale I suppose because she was talking to them big time. I am sure it was a long the lines of "did you see what that ass did?" LOL.
Trick stayed with his herd, they all got a drink and then right back out to pasture they went. They are such characters. Horses still amaze me to this day and I have had them all my life. I am so looking forward to the coming years of our horse adventure. We have all our plans drawn out and the place is going to be amazing. Lots of hard work but then hard work is what takes you places. I look forward to all the hard work.

Pistol will be trained to do other jobs and I can't wait till he is of age. A sweeter colt I have never met.

I took some really good pictures yesterday of the boys as well as the others. Got some really nice shots of the boys. Enjoy.

 They love to play
